"Outbreak of Polio in Israel" (1993). Israel has one of the most advanced health systems in the world.
Yet in the early 1990s a deadly epidemic of polio, controlled easily in the past by inoculation, ravaged parts of the country. The film investigates the circumstances that led to this outbreak.
"Wanda`s Lists"2 Parts (1995, 1996). This documentary deals with the lost identities of Jewish children who were hidden from the Nazis during World War II by Polish Christian families. The film follows the tortuous search of these "hidden children," now adults, for their true identities.
"Broadcast News--Blue and White" (1996). The establishment and progress of television news broadcasting in Israel is followed from its inception.
"Hanita`s Lost Identity" (1999). Hanita Leshem was brought to Israel after World War II after being hidden during the war by Polish Christian families. The film follows her convoluted, but successful quest for her family roots.
“Tzvika” (2002). The film is the Israeli version of the character, Leroy, from the popular American TV series “Fame.” Tzvia’s childhood experience as an Ethiopian immigrant kid, moving from one institution to another between delinquent incidents, ended the moment he took up dancing. Like Billy Elliot, in the film of the same name, Tzvika
started dance lessons at age of 10 only because the soccer team was full. After that, with the help of many supporters, he developed his amazing talent for dancing at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance. The peak of his life was his participation in a summer Alvin Ailey dance workshop in New York. He now trains with the Bat Sheva dance troupe.
