Israeli Film Directors | Leon Prudovsky
Director of Five hours from Paris, Like a Fish out of Water(Leonid) Prudovsky was born in 1978 in St.-Petersburg, Russia and immigrated to Israel at the age of 13. He graduated from Tel Aviv University, the Film and TV department in 2004. During his bachelor studies he wrote and directed 3 short films and was working as a promo director at Israeli channel 2. His graduation project, a short film Dark Night, was nominated for an American Academy Awards for student films in 2005 and won numerous awards in many film festivals such as Venice, Jerusalem, Beijing, Palm Springs, Bucharest and more. In 2005 he co-wrote and directed a TV hour film Like a Fish out of Water for channel 2 and in 2008 he co-wrote and directed his first feature film Five Hours from Paris. Now he is working on a mini-series Three for cables, and he is developing his second feature script, a winning the Israeli Film Fund grant and an award for pitches in TV Europe conference in Haifa international Film Festival.
